Deming
In this sequel to Terrier, Beka has been promoted to a Dog. But Beka can’t seem to keep a partner. One of Beka’s “birdies” tells her that the rye crops are going bad and when the bakery raises prices a riot breaks out. In the riot, Tunstall breaks both of his legs and must stay in bed for weeks. Then a large amount of false silver coins start apearing in shops and markets and when they find a trail leading to Cayn (not spelt right) two dogs must be sent to find the false coins. With Tunstall’s legs broken Beka and Goodwin are sent on the job. They must go undercover as visiting Dogs learning about the cities own Dogs. But a little surprise comes along when Beka sees Dale from the riot. Soon Beka and Dale become very close but Beka worries what will happen if he is one of the false coin makers, or what will happen to her heart? But Beka tries to put that behind her as she searches or clues leading to the coin makers and finds some astonishing news.
This book is really suspenseful and full of action. Not to mention a little romance. I really enjoyed this book and really suggest that people read it. But remember to read the first one first!

Polka_Dot

Lynden Branch

I just finished Ingo by Helen Dunmore. This book is fantasy but filled with adventure! It is about two siblings named Conor and Sapphire who stumble upon two other siblings who are half people and half seals or Mer. They take them to a place called Ingo, after Conor and Sapphires dad mysteriously disappears. They love Ingo but later in the story find that although it is a beautiful place it is filled with danger. This book was good, creative and sometimes suspenseful. It is a little strange but i do recommend it. I couldn’t put it down!

This book follows the story of “Bug” Smoot. An 18 year old girl living on her own after her last relative, her grandpa, dies. One day she finds that someone has egged her Cadillac which she got from her grandpa after he died but when she goes to the car wash to get it cleaned a strange man appears in her car. She soon finds that this man who calls himself Mr. Beals can not be seen by anyone but herself. Beals says the he is here to reposes this car because her grandpa did not follow a contract that was made. Bug becomes way over her head as Beals continues to explain what is going on but lucky for her, the guy running the car wash happens to work for a undercover company called ISIS which is used to get ride of demons after their visas have expired. But even Pesto isn’t able to get rid of Beals. As Pesto and Bug grow closer in their relationship it is revealed that it is now a race against the clock to get rid of Beals before someone’s soul is sold to the devil. But the only question is who’s?

I loved this book!! It was full of so much suspense and had tons of twist that I had no idea were coming. It even had a little romance. I really suggest that people read this book but just to worn you it does have some swearing.
