I finished my book one day and decided to read my sister’s Teen Vogue magazine. This is a magazine about fashion, make-up, inspirational young women and more. The fashion suggestions are spunky and “fierce” and girls who like trying out new, unpredictable trends would probably enjoy experimenting with them. The magazine features stories about women who stand up for their rights, and who aren’t afraid to show people who they really are. This is a good magazine for fads, but the suggested clothing is probably pricey for a majority of people. But all and all it’s a superb magazine for present fashion, and examples of how to wear them everyday.

I finished reading Elegance by Kathleen Tessaro. Louise Canova is an overweight, frumpy woman who’s marriage is failing miserably. She dappled in acting when she was younger but is now the head of a the ticket booth at an opera house in London. She’s surrounded by fashionable people, from her stylish friend Nicki to her model mother-in-law. As Louise is scanning a second hand bookstore, she finds an A-Z guide on fashion, called Elegance, written by a model from the early 1960’s. She reads and follows the written advice and slowly changes her appearance and boosts her self esteem. But Louise soon learns that being elegant is a difficult decision, and some people might not like her new choices…
A very descriptive and well written novel about life and the important choices you make in them.

Beauty Secrets of the Bible is an amazing book. Ginger Garrett actually searched through the Bible and found all the beauty secrets there. There are some from Esther, Cleopatra and Ruth and many more! She also took into account the time period that person lived in. Ginger also added beauty tips from the Biblical times that weren’t actually recorded in the Bible. I highly recommend you read this book and use the beauty tips that have been around for a long time!

I just read GL or Girls Life magazine. (The 2008-2009 December issue) It is a good one for teen girls to read because it has quizes, advice, fashion, hair and makeup tips, stories etc. If you want something fun to flip through that woun’t take you a long time to read I would totally suggest this magazine. Also this issue in paticular gives holiday advice and great gift ideas and features Taylor Swift who I love!! :)
